Nature is the ultimate classroom here at Red Barn Farm. Children have a unique and up-close opportunity to learn about the animals that live on the farm. Tours activities vary by season and can be customized to include a hayride, or visit to the pumpkin patch.
In the fall, you have many options to customize your tour for your class. You start with the basic barnyard tour, which includes visiting all the animals, going through the prairie trail maze and having fun at fort hay bale.
The basic tour takes 90 minutes. Additional activities include a trip to the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin, an orchard tour to learn about how apples grow and apples to take home, a hayride and a trip to the observation bee hive to see the bees in action and get a honey stick. Each activity adds 15-20 minutes to your total tour time. You can mix and match these activities to fit your needs.
