Springtime is a great time to bring your class to the Red Barn Farm for an educational tour.
The barnyard is full of baby animals for your class to meet. Take a hayride through the orchard to see the apple trees in bloom. Visit the garden station to have your tour guide help your class plant seeds to take back to the classroom to grow.
You can also add a trip to the observation bee hive to learn about how bees make honey, see the bees in the hive and receive a honey stick for all your students to enjoy. (Observation bee hive available for an additional fee of $1 per person. Please allow an additional 15 minutes for this activity.)
Tours may be scheduled to begin between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Please be sure to allow for travel time. Spring tours take approximately 90 minutes.
Our basic fee is $5.00 per person, with a minimum of 15 paying guests (teachers and school employees are free). All parents and siblings over age two will be asked to pay admission. (Add $1 per person for the bee hive observation.) School tours are available Monday through Friday only. Tours are charged applicable sales tax unless we receive a copy of your tax exempt certificate.
Groups are welcome to use our picnic area. We have many picnic tables, and will lay out tarps if all the tables are taken. Please let us know if your group intends to stay for lunch.
