The Views Speak for Themselves

A trip to the Weston Red Barn Farm is like visiting a turn of the century working farm. In the spirit of preserving the American dream of farming, the Red Barn Farm offers visitors the opportunity to experience a real working farmstead. We feature traditional farm animals and crops found in Missouri during the 19th century. In addition to the working farm, we offer educational tours for children, a country store featuring fresh produce, gorgeous wedding facilities, and our signature fall festival featuring U-pick pumpkins and apples. If fresh air and amazing views are your thing, you've come to the right place.

Our Story

Weddings at the Farm

We consider ourselves beyond fortunate to have hosted weddings for over twenty years. Our farm features two gorgeous wedding barns. The Red Barn, a converted tobacco barn famous for being the first wedding barn in the KC-Metro area and the Timber Barn. You simply must visit to fully appreciate the beauty and charm of our venues.

School Tours

For over thirty years, we've had the privilege of hosting hundreds of thousands of school children from the Midwest. Educational tours are the soul of our farm and every child that visits has an authentic, instructive and exciting opportunity. Offered in both spring (April/May) and fall (Sept/Oct), education is always in season.

Spring & Summer on the Farm

Spring is a quiet time on the farm with educational tours starting in April and continuing through the end of May. Memorial Day weekend marks the annual opening of the farm to the public. Spring also means baby farm animals (think baby goats, lambs and the occasional foal). During the spring/summer season the country store and barnyard are the focal points of the farm. Summer produce available in the country store includes peaches, sweet corn, tomatoes, melons and cucumbers.

Fall on the Farm

Who doesn't enjoy crisp mornings, flannel shirts, cider donuts, hayrides, and pumpkins? Fall fun kicks off early on the farm with U-pick apples beginning Labor Day weekend. Starting in mid-late September, our Fall Festival weekends feature hayrides, pumpkins, ponies, caramel apples, BBQ, and apple cider. During the week, educational tours for groups are available, or families may stop by and visit the barnyard and country store. An incredibly diverse selection of colorful pumpkins and gourds are always available for purchase in the main pumpkin yard.

FAQ

1. What is the cost to come to the farm?
keyboard_arrow_down

There is no general admission or parking fee at the farm. On weekends, tickets for hayrides to the pumpkin patch, Grain Train, maze and pony rides are available in the InFARMation booth located at the front of the farm. The Barnyard is free of admission except on weekday mornings when school tours are taking place. During this time, wristbands to explore the barnyard will be available for purchase in the Country Store - guests under two are free. Call 816-386-5437 to see if there is a school tour scheduled on the day you plan to visit.

2. I am a professional photographer, and my client wants to have their session at the farm/I am having engagement/family pictures done and I want to have them at the farm. Is this allowed?
keyboard_arrow_down

We do allow commercial photographers to conduct business on our farm for a usage fee. Fees start at $50/hr and vary based on type of shoot, length, and time of day (during open hours or private use after hours). All commercial shoots must be reserved in advance.

3. Can I bring my dog to the farm?
keyboard_arrow_down

We love dogs and encourage our guests to bring their fur babies to the farm. As all good dog owners know, please keep your pup on their lead and bring bags to clean up after them. Water and puppy treats are always available during the Fall Festival weekends at the entrance to the farm.

4. Is smoking allowed at the farm?
keyboard_arrow_down

For obvious safety concerns, our farm is a smoke free environment so please stay in your car if you wish to smoke. Please keep our farm safe and clean by not throwing butts on the ground.

5. Can I have a picnic at the farm?
keyboard_arrow_down

Unless you have reserved the picnic tables, or are hosting an event in one of our barns, outside food is not permitted. During weekends in the fall, our food shack serves delicious BBQ, caramel apples, fresh-popped kettle corn, amazingly fresh cider donuts, and a variety of other tasty treats. During the week, our picnic tables are generally reserved for school tours, but spots may open up depending on the schedule.  On the weekends, private parties may reserve the picnic tables and receive a group rate on our fall activities (minimum 20 guests, email us for details/reservations).

6. I would love to have my child’s birthday at the farm. Is this possible?
keyboard_arrow_down

September and October are our busiest months of the year and we have a lot of guests onsite visiting the barnyard and country store, as well as two wedding venues that are booked most fall weekends. Because of this, we are not currently offering birthday party picnic table rental. We can offer a group discount on tickets for farm activities. We have a Maze, Hayrides, Grain Train and Pony Rides. Email us for more details.

7. Can I reserve the farm for a corporate event or larger private gathering (non-wedding)?
keyboard_arrow_down

Both of our barns are available for all types of events (baby showers, graduation events, proms, family reunions, etc...) Generally, our private events start at $500 and go up based on day of the week and number of guests. Email/call us for more details.
